This is a decent little machine for carrying around. Solid construction, bright screen, good keyboard, and surprisingly decent speakers. Its main drawback is that its unexpandable 4GB of memory is running in single channel mode, which hits gaming performance pretty hard since it uses integrated graphics. Still, I'm running Half-Life 2 era games with no trouble. It's especially peppy with a 250GB Samsung 840 SSD in it if you're not scared of a little laptop surgery.

If you want an ultraportable with touchscreen capability without breaking the bank, the Asus VivoBook X202 is an excellent choice. Now cheapest we've seen at $390. Choose between three colors: black, pink and champagne. Hmm. We'll take black.
Downright cheap 11.6-inch Core i3 Touchscreen laptop at B&H Photo only $420 with free shipping. A new low on this model by $20. Pretty good 4.2 out of 5 star customer rating at Amazon.
I'm not too familiar with the Asus VivoBook but the MS Store is about $100 cheaper than most retailers. It's a small 11.6-inch touchscreen laptop with Window 8 and a Core i3 CPU. First became available in mid October. Next best price online is $549 at Amazon but most online stores are still around the $600 list price.

Dirt cheap Touch Screen laptop on Adorama's eBay page. The 11.6-inch Asus VIvobook X202 is about as lightweight and portable as a laptop comes and includes touch screen ability without the hefty price tag that normally comes with. At $360 it's the cheapest we've seen it by $40. Next best price online is $425 at Rakuten.
