Brand new Droid X Deals from Wirefly.com  This deal is good for new Verizon Wireless customers. It's $49.99 for current Verizon customers who's adding more lines to their account (e.g., if you're opening an additional line for a family member).  If you're upgrading your contract or renewing it, you'll also get the free Droid X offer.  Just click through, select your option and you'll see final prices for the phone.  In essenece, if you spend more, you'll get the phone price subsidized and "free."

The new Droid X Android smartphone with touchscreen costs $199.99 if you buy from Verizon directly with 2-year contract, or about $480 without contract.  Take advantage of Wirefly's special offer (a $200 savings) and save some cash. You'll get to sign-up for the same plans or existing plans without issues.

If you need something different (and sometimes cheaper) than the new Droid X, you can get the Droid Incrediblewhich is very popular too.

Here's a little blast from the past if you want a Droid X for cheap. The Verizon pre-owned units are available at CowBoom (aka Best Buy) for only $60 plus $5 shipping. Original MSRP is $600 but of course thats years ago... personally I'd rather put the $65 towards a new Android 4.0 phone+, but thats just me. Deal ends later tonight. (Edit: sorry for the mistaken marking of the deal as "FREE" earlier)

I am an existing verizon wireless customer, and this deal did not work for me. All that came up was that I am not eligible.

well if you replace your current verizon account with the one associated with purchasing this phone, does verizon charge you a cancellation fee and does that also bring on the fee since they contact you about it?

Amended the deal notes. Sorry for the lack of clarification since Wirefly has updated the deal throughout (it wasn't free before). If you renew/upgrade your plan with Verizon, you may be eligible for the Droid X deal at the special price of $50. If you add more lines to your phone plan, you can also get the $50 price. If you're just buying the Droid X outright without any contract/plan change, then you'll face the $550 regular price. In cases like this where you might not be elgibile yet for an upgrade price through Wirefly or other third party authorized retailers, I would just phone up Verizon and ask them what they can do for you in terms of phone pricing (for example, if you sign an additional year of contract on top of your current contract, they may be able to take $100 off the phone's price).

Re: Split. Not sure actually, sorry about that. But if its two new accounts then definitely, you should ask Wirefly about this with their support or sales rep. Try giving them a ring at: 800-552-9000
