This deal seems to have almost nonexistent availability; it cannot be delivered from BestBuy.com and when I do store availability, I tried several zip codes (DC metro area and also in North Carolina) and out to maximum range and got zero availability in both locations.

Harman Kardon's a classic name for good audio products, and this AVR 1700 surround receiver proves no exception. One reviewer at Amazon says he'd have been happy to pay $599 for the sound and reliability by themselves - after he raved about the feature list. This includes a USB port to connect an iDevice to, and if you don't mind plugging into Ethernet, it can connect to your network and stream via DLNA or Internet radio. Next best puts you out $100 more than necessary.
