Typically a $200 laptop is a Chromebook, but here you can snag a refurb HP EliteBook 8460p (sadly not display resolution, ha) for $205 shipped. This makes the cheapest we've seen the config sell for by $20. 2nd gen Core i5 and 4GB RAM aren't mindblowing, but they'll get the job done for everyday tasks just fine. Plus, this is a business laptop, meaning build quality / reliability should be higher than consumer grade.
Old school HP EliteBook down to only $220 via NewEgg's eBay outlet page. Downsides are refurbished condition, older 2nd gen Core i5 CPU from 2011, and 4GB RAM... Upsides are a still decent enough Core i5 Processor, made-for-business quality, and an are-you-kidding-me-$220 price tag. Historic low price point for the originally $900 PC.
How cheap is a 2011 made for business laptop these days? Today at Woot this HP Elitebook with a Core i5 CPU dropped to only $250 + $5 shipping. Lowest price ever by $42. Back in 2012 this machine was about $900.
HP EliteBook is like Dell's Latitude or Lenovo's ThinkPad business laptop. They're generally more reliable than your standard consumer PC, but cost quite a bit more. Hard to say this Elitebook business laptop is too costly though. She released originally in 2012 for $870, but today after coupon + instant savings is under $300 - a new low by $258.
