Just what I needed! But do you think it would be cheaper to purchase the 750m sli altogether? Or should I just buy a seperate one?

The SLI model is $1149 after coupon and Lenovo is currently selling the 750M Ultrabay setup for $230. So buying separately is cheaper by $70, though you don't get the 16GB mSSD cache drive and you have 8GB less RAM. Technically you'll also get a spare DVD-drive if you buy separately too, so that's another factor. Here's what I'll do. If you plan to upgrade to a SSD, grab them separately. If you want the 16GB mSSD drive and more RAM, just buy the $1149 59371963 config model. Hope this helps!

New $500 off coupon code on the 15.6-inch Lenovo Y500 gaming laptop w/ 1080p display, new GeForce GT 750M graphics, and 1TB HDD + 16GB SSD. At $849 it's lowest ever by $20. Same price as the one without the 16GB SSD, so no real reason to get lower specs ;)

Hmm no real reason to get the 59371965 model when the 59371972 config here has 16GB mSSD for the same price after coupon.

Last day for the Mother's day coupon on the IdeaPad Y500 gaming laptop - because of course your mom would want a quad core i7 with 1080p, GT 750M Kepler-based GPU plus a large 1TB HDD with a 16GB mSSD cache. This gift idea is so obvious, you're probably as surprise as I am that you didn't think of it sooner.

The 15-inch Lenovo Y500 got a graphics card upgrade last week from the GeForce GT 650M to GT 750M. It's a slight boost to battery life and gaming performance and an overall positive change to the Y500. The base Y500 configuration with Core i7-3630QM, 8GB RAM and 1TB HDD got a new $350 coupon code today dropping the price to $799. Last week this configuration was $919.
Y500 with the GT750M that is $799 is not full HD, it's 1366x768. Another thing, they didn't have the 1366x768 version last week.
This isn't showing up as $799, still says $929 for me as it has since these deals started. Am I missing some code besides the one above?

Lenovo is getting rid of their Y500 with GT 650M GPUs (newer models have the 750M), so with this big coupon the 1080p gaming laptop is just a shy above the $800 price tag. While the 750M is faster, its not worlds apart so the savings is worth considering - especially if you wanted the model with a 16GB mSSD cache.
Hi, would I be able to use this deal in Canada?

Hi, Alex - you'd need to check the Canadian Lenovo page, as Lenovo US won't ship internationally, unfortunately. (I'd check to see if the coupon crosses over to the Canadian site, but unfortunately it's now expired...)
However, you can check out Lenovo Canada's public Y500 deals here - some incorporate eCoupons for additional discounts.

Better than the ecoupon/deal listed on Lenovo, the Y500 is still at $850 since its big discount late Feb. This particular coupon expires end of the week so if you want a 1080p gaming rig with capable GPU and a Core i7, this is a popular bet.
Awesome deal! I might have to use this. Aside: Can you even fit windows 8 on a 16GB SSD? With a pagefile the size I usually see, I'd think it would be bursting at the seams, no?

Sorry for late reply Eric. I'm pretty sure the 16GB SSD is an mSSD cache, meaning you can't exactly decide what you want to store in that portion of the hard drive. Having said that, many portions of the OS will essentially be stored in the mSSD cache, whereby the cache offers fast boot up time by storing frequently access data (in this case, OS system files) in the cache for significantly faster access. You'll find lots of Ultrabooks on the market these days using mSSD cache option to qualify for the fast boot-up/sleep time requirement Intel has set for the Ultrabook moniker.
this is now $870

Just checked - it's still $849 after you put in our coupon. Lenovo's displayed 7DAYDEAL coupon only brings it down to $879.
Just add to cart and enter our code in the eCoupon box and click APPLY. You should see the savings reflected under the cart summary.

lenovo is selling this with blueray and 8GB ram for $744 right now - scratch and dent

Nice - got a link perchance?

Still available! Giant SlickDeal coupon on a 12GB version of the Y500 with 16GB mSSD. An 8GB version of this config was gonig for $869 just last week, so for only $10 more, you get 4 additional GB of RAM. 1080p Full HD, Quad Core i7, and a speedy 750M GPU rounds out this high-end gaming laptop.
Does this comes with windows 8 also, is it brand new with powercord etc.

Yes, and absolutely. If something that requires a powercord doesn't come with one, we'll let you know. :)
A big $450 coupon code drops this 15.6-inch Lenovo IdeaPad Y500 with Core i7 CPU and 1080p display down to $849. Last Thursday Lenovo refreshed the graphics card in this model from GeForce GT 650M to the new GeForce GT 750M. The Y500 also has an Ultrabay, allowing you to swap out the DVD drive for an extra graphics card, cooling unit or hard drive. All that adds up to a relatively inexpensive gaming laptop.
