  Amazing price from Lenovo on the X230 ultraportable laptop. This matches Black Friday pricing last November and is one of the cheapest high-end ThinkPad you'll see. I personally highly recommend the $50 upgrade to the premium HD IPS display for a lot more viewing angle and color accuracy.

  I agree with the IPS upgrade... It's a relatively small price to pay for something that makes a staggering difference in usability.

  $695 is about as cheap as the CLASSIC Lenovo X series will get. "hey jotto, why is the X series more expensive than other laptops?" - 1) it's a classic design that goes back to the 90s, 2) rugged, 3) high performance... but if you're TOO hipster (brogrammers working at Facebook) for a Macbook Air, then this is the next level of hipster I'd recommend.

  Brand new X230 with Ivy Bridge i5 tablet version is a nice upgrade to the X220, basically for around same price the predecessor, you'll get a lot more performance for the buck. Standard 10% coupon takes an additional $124 off the sticker price.
