Despite being an entry-level Blu-ray player, the Samsung BD-C5500 comes with Internet@TV and AllShare. Samsung Apps includes favorites like Twitter, Youtube, and Pandora, among others. This DLNA-compliant Blu-ray player lacks built-in WiFi, but a LAN port can do the same thing with better streaming speed. If your setup seriously requires wireless connectivity, a pricey USB dongle is available. But in that case, you’re probably better off buying its WiFi-ready sib, the BD-C6500. Also, it doesn’t support 7-channel audio out. Be prepared for 4 firmware updates as soon as you connect to the internet, since this model was released in 2010. Overall, the set received favorable consumer responses from sites like Amazon and Newegg.

If you grabbed a cheap no-frills HDTV on Black Friday, this might be one of the cheapest ways to add both Blu-ray and Internet streaming capacity to your setup. You can stream Netflix, Vudu and more, it's DLNA compatible so you can stream content from your own network, and it's got a USB port in the front to let you attach storage media full of whatever you want to watch or listen to.

Not a bad deal on this Samsung BD-C5500 Blu-ray player, now at its lowest price ever at eCost. With Internet@TV, you'll be able to download apps and widgets that'll let you shop and stream just about anything you're into, and it's DLNA certified as well thanks to its AllShare functionality. It's got a 4.3/5 after 55 TigerDirect reviews.
