Assassin's Creed 3 is one year old, and the PC download already down to six bucks at GameFly. Previous low was $11 5 months ago. This still normally sells for $30, so a pretty solid price drop.

Do you have to use Gamefly's DRM or is this DRM free or does it come with a Key for Steam. I know it uses uplay's service, but I'm just curious if you still need to load and run Gamefly's App to play this each time, or If it was able to activate through Steam, and than it loads uplay's service like other Steam & Uplay Mixed games.

Hey Jeromy, sorry for late reply. You don't need Gamefly's app to load the game, you'll see the key in your Gamefly account order page. Like Steam, you'll need the Uplay client, but it won't appear in your Steam library unless you add it as a non-Steam game (though I don't see the point of that). Some people care though and want this to appear in their Steam library as a "Steam" game (even though you'll have to load Uplay and have Uplay account, heh). Urgh. DRMs.

Thank you for the response. Ya, I just like having the games added to my library so they get auto patched when anything new comes out for the game. Than you don't need to track down the update on there site and whatnot.

Hmm. Assassin's Creed 3 is $10.87 until July 2nd during Gamefly's Ubisoft sale. That's mighty tempting. You'll need a Uplay account to play this - but that's the name of the game these (given its a Ubisoft title, same situation applies even if this is a Steam activated title).

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is about to be released next week on the PS3 and Xbox 360, if you still haven't gotten around to playing II yet, GoGamer has the PC version on sale for a very cheap price (the PS3 version is relatively cheap too). Pacing of the game can get a bit long, but if the story in Assassin's Creed got you hanging by the seat of your pants, grabbing the sequel should be a no-brainer.

If you thought about pre-ordering the Assassin's Creed 3 Deluxe Edition for PC here's a good reason not too. Right now the Deluxe Edition runs $80...
