Not the full firesale deal some of us saw a few months ago, but still much cheaper than a full retail price TouchPad. The $99 firesale TouchPad deal has been confirmed to be out of stock from HP (they unfortunately never attempted to fulfill the demand as promised, and never released nor produced any other limited quantity as far as everyone could tell. You can read a more full detail story on the end of the $99 TouchPad "sale" at Cnet.
Update 8/22/11 8:00 AM Eastern: Barnes & Noble briefly had the 16GB model in stock for $101.95 with other sites selling for list and above.
Update 8/21/11 1:30 AM Eastern: You currently have two option. Try HP's Small Business site where the TouchPad can be added to cart, and deal with the possibility that you can get an order through the busy server. Or check out the HP TouchPad notified pagewhere you get an email when its back in stock at the $99 price. We're assuming they're getting inventory back from some retailers such as Best Buy that's sending it back to them.
Update 8/20/11 3:00 PM Eastern: So the TouchPad is obviously sold out and a good number of lucky East Coast Dealzon users were able to snagged the TouchPad at a reduced price. The $99 model sold out first while the $149 32GB model was still available for about 2 more hours around 1-2 AM Eastern Time last night. We'll keep you updated on where if any retailers may be selling the TouchPad at reduced price.
You can also check this master thread at Slickdeals on the entire ordeal, where the community actively updates the Wiki to include which retailers, if any, is selling the TouchPad at liquidation price. Do be careful though that some retailers may not be verified and may not be trustworthy (if you've never heard of them before, do a slight research before you take a leap). Because of the fludiity of the situation we can't verify all information in that thread, so proceed at your own risk.
Update 8/20/2011 1:00 AM Eastern: Try coupon code: SAVE15HP to get $15 off your order. YMMV. It looks as if the TouchPad 16GB is out of stock but we'd suggest trying continously as HP's site is being swamped right now from all the buyers. Amazon and Best Buy (America) has not dropped the price yet, we'll keep you updated if other retails starts releasing the TouchPad at the liquidation price.
